Pirate Fiesta and Harlem Halloween

DJ Jaffe organized this really fun Halloween Party.
Pirate Fiesta was glad to be a part of it.

Party co-organizers Matt Nolen and Rose Wagner

The beaming smiles of these youngsters tell the story of the fun
they're having aboard the Pirate Fiesta.

The little aboard the ship know one of it's main rules.
Can you tell what action they have taken
that they both have in common?

We need to impress into service some help to pull the ship.

Yo Ho Ho, the Pirate Fiesta is fun to ride.

A couple of the crew took home swords.  Everyone that
survived a voyage got a Pirate Fiesta patch.

The crew had to ring the bell to alert traffic we were on the way.

Pirate Ship Detailing

Sample Pirate Ships

This is a pic of Queen Anne's Revenge from On Stranger Tides.  I think they really captured the essence of a scary ghost ship here.  The detailing is incredible.

A closer view.  See also closeups under this blogs entry, 'Pirate Ship Detailing'.

I think this is my favorite sample of  a ship out of all posted here, even though it's fake and in a mall.  I like the shape and colors and it has a sexy feel.  Victorian era detailing graces the ship without being gaudy.  The colors are maroon, burnt sienna and dark green ochre.
This is an authentic reproduction of the Santa Maria and I think a good example of how to run the rigging.  There isn't much room on the deck for the 70 men that sailed her.
Another reproduction of an early sailing ship that came to America.
A fantasy pirate ship made for an amusement park.
 Simple design and model.
This is an Asian pirate ship that really goes overboard with the gold gilded detailing and the purple is off the hook.
